Our Ajrakh suit sets are hand-block printed in the ancient resist-dye tradition of Kutch, using natural indigo and madder across many painstaking stages of printing, washing and sun-drying. The result is deep, earthy colour and intricate geometric symmetry that only vegetable dyes and hand-carved wooden blocks can achieve.
Each set is a two-piece: an unstitched kurta length of roughly 2.55 metres with a matching dupatta of about 2.45 metres, finished with a zari border. A bottom is not included, which keeps the set light and lets you choose a contrast or matching bottom with your tailor.
The collection is woven in silk linen and tussar silk — both breathable with a gentle natural slub that catches Ajrakh's madder reds and indigo blues beautifully. Because every metre is block-printed by hand, small variations in motif alignment and depth of colour are part of the craft, not flaws in it. These are textiles that soften and deepen with wear.
