Handwoven silk and silk-cotton stoles
A stole is the smallest commitment in handloom and often the most useful. Narrower and lighter than a dupatta, it works over a kurta, a dress or a plain shirt, and it travels well.
Most of this edit is woven in silk-cotton, with silk pieces alongside. They are the easiest gift we sell — no sizing to get right, and the handwork is visible immediately.
Because these are woven by hand, slight irregularities in the weave and small colour shifts between pieces are normal. They are the signature of a handloom, not a flaw.

What is the difference between a stole and a dupatta?
A stole is narrower and lighter, and is worn as a layer over Western or Indian clothing. A dupatta is wider and is usually part of a matched suit set.
What fabrics are the stoles woven in?
Mostly silk-cotton, with some pure silk. The fabric is named on each product page.
Do stoles make good gifts?
They are the easiest handloom gift — there is no sizing to get right, and the quality of the weave is obvious straight away.
