Wash & Care Instructions

All our products are carefully curated from the weavers and artisans who have been practicing these skills through generations.

We request you to kindly adhere to these broad wash and care guidelines to preserve the beauty and longevity of your handcrafted textiles.

Dry Clean Only

Especially your Silk, Gold Khadi prints. Professional dry cleaning preserves the fabric's integrity and sheen.

Avoid Perfumes on Zari

Avoid spraying perfumes or any other liquids on zari products. Chemicals can damage the metallic threads.

Proper Storage

Change fold regularly and store your heirloom textiles in pure cotton covers to prevent permanent creases.

Iron with Care

Use warm iron on medium heat. Zari and Gold Khadi print fabrics should be ironed on the reverse side.

Natural Dyes May Bleed

Always wash naturally dyed items separately from other coloured clothes, especially when new, to prevent colour transfer.

Use Mild Soap

For natural dyed and organic cottons, use mild liquid soap designed for delicate fabrics and cold water. Please do not bleach.

Turn Inside Out

Turn garments inside out before washing to reduce friction on the dyed surface and preserve colors longer.

Use Dye Fixative

Pre-treat handwoven textiles by soaking in diluted vinegar or salt solution to help set the dye. Ready-to-use color fixatives are also available.

Drip Dry in Shade

Drip dry and dry in shade your naturally dyed organic or handwoven fabrics to minimize stress on fibres.

Change Folds Regularly

Refold your stored textiles periodically to prevent permanent crease lines from forming along the fold marks.

Minimize Washing

Cutting down on the number of washes will greatly improve the life of your handwoven and handcrafted textiles.
