Handwoven in Kala Cotton yarns, this kurta fabric is presented in a rich madder rust hue, an earthy red inspired by the warm tones traditionally associated with madder dyes.
The body features delicate Chomuk motifs, adding subtle woven texture and rhythm across the fabric. Towards the lower section, a finely composed woven stripe panel in rust, ivory and ash tones introduces depth while maintaining the fabric’s understated elegance.
Style it as a relaxed Kaftan, short dress or as a kurta paired with ivory, beige or deep rust bottoms to complement the woven panel. Minimal silver jewellery or handcrafted accessories will beautifully enhance the natural elegance of the fabric.
Kala Cotton is an indigenous cotton grown in the Kutch region of Gujarat. Rain-fed and resilient, it is known for its durability, breathability, and minimal environmental impact. It is also known as heritage fibre as it is considered one of the oldest cotton species from India.
