DHANAK - BROWN CARROT RED ARASHI SHIBORI SAREE IN TUSSAR SILK
The shibori technique used is this saree is part of the broader shibori craft adopted from Japanese textile art dating back to the 8th century which relies on hand-manipulated techniques. In this process, the fabric is wrapped around a PVC pipe and bound with thick yarn or twine to form diagonal or wavy lines in receding order. The resulting patterns are often characterized by their unevenness and natural variations, reflecting Japan's appreciation for the beauty of imperfection.
