Srikalahasthi Kalamkari — a GI-protected craft tradition since 2006.
A softly ivory cotton canvas is enlivened by sweeping hand-drawn vines, stylised florals and curling leaves in vermilion red and warm ochre, defined by fine charcoal-black outlines. The free-flowing composition gives the fabric a wonderful sense of movement, while the warm, earthy palette retains the unmistakable character of traditional Kalamkari.
Drawn and painted by hand in the Srikalahasthi Kalamkari tradition, the slight shifts in line, color and brushwork are not imperfections — they are the quiet signatures of the artisan’s hand.
